Now What Do I Do?

Monday, was about thoughts.
Tuesday was about words.
Today is about action.

How many times have you thought about a goal (I wish I could “x, y, z”)? How many times have you verbalized it? How many times have you tried it?

If you’re like me, life is very much about wishing, dreaming, hoping – all very important mental exercises; even soul exercises. But in reality, that’s not enough to actually get to where we want to go, is it?

Nothing changes, if nothing changes. That’s where the “do” or action needs to come in.

Today, on the day before we celebrate Thanksgiving, here in the U.S.A., I would like to simply put out a charge to you – to me too.

What is one thing – wish/dream/hope – that you can take one small step today towards? Lose a few pounds? Eat a little healthier? Reduce my debt? Learn piano? Clean my home?

Get sober?

Seriously – all goals require steps so just one small step today, can bring you to the place you want to be tomorrow, next week/month/year/decade.

Maybe it’s as simple and low energy as watching a YouTube video “how to…”. Maybe it’s a choice to eat the apple instead of Snickers (even just for today).

Maybe it’s to pick up the phone or type a quick text or email and reach out for help.

With God and a community of like-minded brothers & sisters, we never have to go it alone.

What’s your “do” today?

Happy Thanksgiving y’all! I’m truly thankful – blessed – we are journeying at this moment in time together 💜!

Give thanks to the Lord he is good. His love endures forever.
My first tattoo…Psalm 136:1.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
