Welcome to my journal! Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy day to visit! I’m Karah and writing has been a passion of mine for many years but only recently have I begun to see that I might have something to say that others can relate to via a blog so, I created “Journal of a Warrior’s Journey” (aka JWJ).
This website is based on Ephesians 6:10-19. See below.

I actually started with just a blog feed but…what’s a girl with an old web design certificate, living in a currently semi-locked-down COVID-19 state to do? Yep, write more content so stay tuned for more!
In the Bible, Ephesians 6 tells us to “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” A warrior puts on their armor daily. A warrior prepares for battle, but not just maybe (which I hope none of us has to face) a battle in the physical world, but even more importantly – the spiritual realm. If you’ve spent any amount of time on this planet, you’ve probably seen that there’s more to this life than we can see with our human eyes. We are all called to be spiritual warriors then, are we not? I think we are.
So, here, we are going to explore what it means to stand, as Ephesians 6 states – which can also mean to fight – whether we are fighting for peace in our hearts and homes, peace in our communities or peace in the midst of chaos – something which we can certainly all identify with (especially thanks at least in part to the year 2020…2021…2022…).
We’ll also focus on blessings but won’t sugar-coat the realities and heartbreaks we all encounter on this walk either. Both are important aspects of the human experience.
And, we are going to look at how God – if we let Him – will hold us up when we know we just can’t do it on our own anymore. That is the stuff that makes us rise up folks – that which defies logic. God doing for us, what is impossible for us to do without Him. He says we matter to Him and I believe it 100%!
What to do while you’re here?
Please visit the “Blog Posts“, “like” and leave me a comment too! I’m hoping to inspire some positive conversations because I really want you to find this place to be inspiring, uplifting, and encouraging. We all can use some of that today, am I right? I know I do!

This website/blog is based on my experiences, my recovery, and my hopes for anyone reading. In no way, do I claim to be a biblical scholar, medical professional (including mental health provider). Having been on the road of recovery since 1989, I simply share what has worked (works) for me and as I’ve heard it so eloquently stated in Al-Anon meetings, “take what you like and leave the rest”. Neither I, nor any guest, will offer unsolicited opinions or therapy (unless they are specifically writing about something they are legally qualified to do). The sole intent here is to point all to hope.
In regards to sharing content from this site, nothing would be more humbling than to know God is using this site to bless someone else. If you share any content here, share where it was found as well (link or page name). (www.JournalofaWarriorsJourney.com).
