March is AUTOIMMUNE AWARENESS MONTH.
There are MANY (too many 😢) AI disorders/diseases and throughout this month we (many on social media) will be highlighting those as well as where the fight is at to bring more awareness of them, as well as finding causes, cures and research of various treatments.
An autoimmune disease, for example, would be rheumatoid arthritis, occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body’s tissues.
In IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) the immune system is attacking the gastrointestinal tract (or as I will call it, anywhere from “tongue to tail”).
