Advent Simply Defined

Christmas is coming, but first…Advent.

But what does that word even mean?

Simply said, advent = arrival.

The Advent we celebrate, the time before Christmas, is anticipating the arrival of Jesus.

I hope you are, along with all the Christmas preparations, taking time to reflect on what this season of waiting represents. We are more than incredibly blessed we get to live in the time era that is post Jesus’ birth – but can we even imagine what that was like for those faithfully awaiting His first coming?
