Freedom Focused: Eyes on Jesus

I’ve been sharing a lot from my journey through the YouVersion Bible app, daily reflections and if I don’t share it’s because something hasn’t truly hit me to do that but of course this is available for anyone to download or go to Bible.com.

Another one of my devotionals, that I absolutely love, is “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. That devotional book has been with me for years. It’s the same book I’ve turned to whether at home, work, in the car at lunch praying to get through one more day, and during hospitalizations to help encourage me – along with my Bible and worship music. Every time I pick it up, it hits me differently, but always at the right moment for what I need to hear at the right time. I know God used her writing in mighty ways in my life and continues to.

If you weren’t aware, Sarah recently passed away, but her legacy of sharing these unique devotionals (she created many others) remains and continues to reach the world – to tell everyone about Jesus.

Be content to be a simple sheep, listening for My voice and following Me. I will lead you into restful green pastures and guide you along paths of righteousness.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sarah did that – she kept her focus on Jesus, and because of her obedience, faithfulness to Christ and the call on her life, we will always have these amazing devotionals. Thank you, Sarah ♥️.
