Seek His Face Continuously

“Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence].” 1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is so much more to God than asking for help and answers to our prayers.

Jesus shows us by His coming here and fulfilling His mission, that we are wanted by God – wanted to be in relationship with Him!

Think about a special person in your life. For me, it’s my husband. Did you start off your relationship with a list of wants? Or, did you date each other – dinners, long walks, rides, special events, phone calls? All in the hopes of knowing each other better. Didn’t your heart flutter when they were near? Did you long for those moments to be spent together? How do you continue to deepen your relationship? Didn’t you then, and don’t you now, actively seek each other?

Of course, God already knows us – He made us! And God is such a good, good Father – He wants to shower His kids – and does – with everything good! He wants us to ask for what we want and believe we need. But, He created us to know Him personally.

We do that, by seeking His face continuously.

Seek the Lord – that’s seeking HIM, longing for HIS presence, relationship with HIM.

If you haven’t spent any time recently just sitting or walking, in complete silence, no distractions – with your focus solely on being with Him, here’s your reminder. Because IN His presence, we are:

♥️ filled.

♥️ renewed.

♥️ changed.

♥️ strengthened.

And we get to know Him more deeply. Will you seek Him today?
