Light in the Darkness

There are so many beautiful creations in this world that God has designed by His own hand for us to enjoy.

Some of my favorites? Beautiful fields & mountain landscapes, Autumn’s incredible changing leaves, campfires, gorgeous blue-geeen oceans, colorful sunrises & sunsets, the unconditional love of a puppy dog, the sight of majestic wild horses, the sweet sounds of nature & music, joyful gatherings with loved ones and so much more. Add some freshly falling snowflakes and I’m just in absolute awe of the beauty God has painted & provided for us to explore & experience!

But unfortunately, and you know if you’ve been on Earth for a little while, this world we live in is also a very broken place – wrought with hurt, pain and sin; some thing’s that were never meant to be when God created man in His own image.

This means, sadly, the world can be a very dark place too. My heart hurts for so many reasons today. So much loss and anger and fighting in the world. We know that evil is always prowling around looking for someone to devour. The enemy has his focus after all; steal, kill & destroy. He doesn’t want us to realize we don’t have to fall for his lies; lies that keep us in bondage, hate & darkness – exactly what he wants.

But what the enemy mostly doesn’t want, is for us to reach for THE LIGHT = Jesus.

Jesus is The Light of the World who has overcome the darkness!

We can step OUT of the darkness and INTO His LIGHT! Right now! We can find rest, peace, and Joy unspeakable – our weary souls need all of it and we can receive it; both now and for eternity! Hallelujah!!

Jesus is only a breath away. BUT – He will never impose – He will never force Himself into our lives. He simply waits for us to respond to His calling – His invitation to follow. Will you?
